I am currently going through a brush every 3 to 4 weeks at the moment covering first cleans. My usual choice is the med mixed sill from gardiners. Using hot water combined with lots of first cleans (15 to 20 a week) the brushes take a hammering.
Needed some new safety cones, and rubber (razrblade) so placed an order with WCW on Sunday. Forgot to order brush, rang Monday first thing to add the brush to order (and save on postage).
Order arrived this morning along with brush, all correct, thank you WCW.
Brush used in anger midday on a 'sign's and surrounds (wooden)' plus the windows on some local shops.
Its a bit early to say, BUT I must say this brush seems 'fantastic' and 'on the glass' feel was superb. Scrubbing power was also excellent
Will keep you posted on its progress. Well worth a look if you are in the market for a new agitator!
A sill 'style' version would be a winner.

  I don't think I've ever worn a brush out. Just change them when I fancy trying a new one.

Its 'grim' up north. Very dirty windows and cleaning all those corners kills mine!

I've found that the Gardiners brushes, while very good on weight and design don't last before you get metal bits poking through the base. That is moving from Vikan breeze blocks though...

Do you guys rub the stock up and down the brickwork or something?

Yep the phoenix brush is superb, I've been so impressed with it, I always use them now, they last much longer than most (gardiner etc) and the splay on the glass is perfect. They just got the right design and it's worked!

Not as a rule like, but it does happen. Unavoidable if you want to do £1000 a day.

Can you just put the gardeniers quick lock on it and away you go.
I need new brush was thinking of tecbuk but may try one of these.

Yeah you can unscrew the brush head from the base and put it directly on a gardiner base, I just did that very thing last night!

well i have to say that due to the shortage of brushes at gardiners we went with the stiff sill brush and i got to say that its the dogs dangles.

done a few first cleans and upvc cleans with it and it cleans will,there no need to press hard the bristles just do the work.

it eats in to bird muck as well

I note on the original post that you are using hot water with the med mixed sill brush. You will need to use the stiff sill brush with hot water and Alex told me that himself and that the one you are using will probably not stand up to hot water. Just saying.
Difficult for me to try others as we really only use sill brushes and no way will I go back to a Vikan

Hi Spursboy, I originally bought the 'stiff' sill brush (wanted the feel of the medium mixed using hot), this performed worse than the medium mixed. The inner bristles flatten out after 2 weeks.
I am not complaining at all about the brushes, they really do get some stick doing first cleans all day. A month from a brush priced at £30 is perfectly acceptable IMO.
The other 3 vans all use medium mixed sills with cold water and they get 6 months out of them, Happy days.
Will keep you all posted on the performance of the phoenix.

It's an excellent brush mate, Really is good, I way prefer it over the super lites

the weight puts me off 285g?really?

ive got used to extreme brushes which are about 110g.i go through a new one every 2 or 3 months.i can live with that just for the weight saving.it adds up to an easier working day for sure.

Yeah it's heavier but pretty much comparable to the super lite brushes, better scrubbing power though, I like the super lite, but the phoenix is so much better at scrubbing, also really love the splay on wondows, just works really well,

Not tried an xtreme brush, might give it a go, just worried it'll lack in the scrubbing power department!
