hi nick....its not a sticky tape as such but it self fuses to itself, what you do is stretch it and wind it around any sort of leak i used some my self as an emergency repair after having a fight with a rose bush, hoping it would suffice until i got home, two months later its still on there. really good stuffid recommend for us all to have a roll in our tool kiti found this youtube clip that illustrates its many uses https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EU2aBQ0xLnAtony
