0800 Phone number
« on: November 23, 2014, 04:22:55 pm »
Hi all,
has anyone got an 0800 to mobile number,

we cover a large area that has 3 different area codes so we only use a mobile number,
but was thinking of getting a free phone number ?

I had one for 6 months and got less than 5 calls from it so i got rid of it a few months back.

Not worth the £60 per year

Had one. Got rid. Only calls I got was for conference calls where the participants misdialled. I ended up paying for jack poope.

I pay £5 a month for one.

I have it on my gutter cleaning website as we cover a wide area for gutter cleaning and didn't want people to see the area code and be put off.

It's worth it I think.

I have been using these for about 5 years now. It costs  2p a min to divert to your landline or 10p to your mobile.
On certain fones like nokia and samsung it actually comes up diverted call so you know its costing you so I usually say i am busy can I call you back.? or I let it go through to voicemail which costs just over a penny.
You can have any area code you like the only problem is now they charge £20 a year now for the number so could be expensive with several numbers.
I bought my numbers outright before they started charging a yearly fee which was a tenner.
I can make £25 top up last nearly a year as I have it diverted to my landline which diverts to my mobile so only incur the 2p a min. I get free call divert to my mobile.
There are still plenty of people out there dont like ringing mobiles from their home phones.

Me too, in fact it's more like 8 or 9.

So what? Customers still recognise my area code as local.
