Van heater

Hi. With the cold weather not far off I was wondering what the best heaters are to keep your water/ hoses etc ice free?
Would I need a gas one, or could I run it off the leisure battery?
Any info much appreciated, or any links to recommended products even better...
Thanks

http://www.amazon.co.uk/MOUNTED-ELECTRIC-COMPACT-CONVECTOR-THERMOSTATS/dp/B00FG2ASEK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1416604077&sr=8-3&keywords=500w+frost+heater
Just had this turn up today, I have a 1200w inverter in the back that will power this. For a frost heater it really belts the heat out.

I don't think any half decent heater would run off a leisure battery.
I always used to use an oil filled rad off the mains, then when I turned to hot water immersion heater in tank solved the heating problem as well - hot water and warm van
