There was a post ages ago from someone who was planning to offer this but I don't recall anything more from him.  Can't find the post, I'm afraid.

You could always flog on Ebay and buy new - might be cheaper than having someone work on it.

This pole here only 14 months old but got a 22slx 3 to 4 years old and still works like new.

Even do the vac poles too.

Sorry, but if you are earning close to 80k a year as a sole trader, why on earth would you bother?!

I would have though being on £300 a day, every day, reconditioning an old pole would have been the last thought on your mind ;D ;D

You see that's why you are a window cleaner and not an accountant.

That's amazing! Unfortunately I am totally hopeless at practical stuff. My slx25 is a bit of a dog now and made worse by the fact that I have a new slx18 which is lovely to use.

ADDED LATER:

The SLX25 is only a year old & has loads of life left in it, but just needs someone to do what you have done to your pole to make it feel nice to use again.

Have you got a link? I'll get the wife to do it. About time she got off her arse.  :o ;D

Actually, the above is not fair as she spends 8-10 hours a week dropping leaflets.

Put it in as an expense is what your accountant will say, so its not a bad idea  ::)roll
And £350 (ish) from 80k isn't a drop in the park...

Pure H20's vid is good though, ive tried the laquer and it works well
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?

It is about £285 incl VAT (and you get a free brush) - not £350 -  and being a higher rate tax payer you get 40% back anyway. Seems I would make a better accountant than you.

If the pole has earned you £80k I would say that is a good return and you probably need a new brush, you may find replacing the brush enables you to earn another £100 a week through increased efficiency.

Why don't you just put smart clamps on it?

It has smart clamps. The clamps are fine. I think it just needs a laquer as it's lumpy compared to my new SLX18.

Thanks for your offer Matt and your advice Mick and your opnion Franky. They have all been filed appropriately.

And dd, I still think you chose the right job in window cleaning. Accountancy definitely isn't for you.
