Booster pump configuration!

Should a booster pump be positioned before or after the pre filters?
In other words:
Pre Filters - Booster Pump - RO
Or
Booster Pump - Pre Filters - RO
Thanks
Nick

I tried both ways and it didn't seem to make any difference to pure water output and pressure reading was the same both ways round.
But I have read on here that if the pump is after the pre-filters it could be having to work harder, which is possible I suppose.
So I settled on putting pump before pre-filters as I believe that's what most people do.

I THOUGHT THE IDEA OF A BOOSTER PUMP WAS TO SUCK THE WATER FROM ITS WATER SOURCE FASTER as an aid for more water to enter your system faster than it normally could. you are boosting your water pressure to what needs it.
so therefore straight after your water source to make it enter faster into your purification system thus producing more water purification quicker.

Some peeps put the booster after the first pre filter ( sediment ) as this stops debris from going into the pump, I've put mine after mains tap and before pre filters, I've fitted a clear housing 10" sediment filter just before pump and when that fitter starts to go yellow after around 4 months I then change all my 20" pre filters.
