washing scrims, sill cloths and microfibres and tumbledrying?
« on: November 19, 2014, 07:33:32 am »

Asked this before, but just want to confirm-  is it sill cloths and scrims at 90 degrees?  can scrims be washed at 30 degrees?

Tumble dry only sill cloths  and hang up scrims and microfibres.

DON'T wash microfibres at 90 degrees and DON'T tumble dry them or scrims.

Is that all correct?

If scrims must be washed at 90 degrees, that would mean always washing them separately from micofibres.

Nowadays I use microfibre cloths only. I wash them at 30 degrees, with a little washing powder. I then tumble dry them.

I did mine last night. I had used some of them for wiping the insides of guttering, so were filthy. They came out perfect.

Hope this helps.

All my scrims and sill cloths get handed to the mrs every couple of days and then get handed back clean, dry and nicely folded. It's like magic.

Only ever used microfibre cloths , wash on 40 and tumble dry , never had a problem and they last a long time

Same here only ever use microfiber, wash from 40 to 90 depending on how soiled they are, then tumble dry. Just pay extra for higher quality microfibers and you won't have any problems when it comes to washing at high temperatures or tumble drying them.
