why,     whats my alternative,      i need something so i can get used to a van mount,   from a good supplyer in case any problems occur,   when i get used to equipment i can then try other methods.

Personal preference i guess. Found 3 was too slow flow and 4 was too much.

Calibration is pathetic and the unit constantly draws power even when off.

Very unreliable in my opinion.

The MKII varistream has had a mixed reception, a step backwards over the MKI by all accounts. This one is a wee beauty though- http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/Easy-Analogue-Liquid-Logic----trade-----Pump-Flow-Controller--LIQUIDLOGIC_ANALOG.html

Yes the Variflo+ V11 Analogue Pump Controller is exactly the same as the Gardiners one with a different sticker on it.

In my opinion the digital ones are too complicated and unreliable.

so i would be best getting the  package with the variflo+v11   + Aquatec 100psi 6l/min pump   package        £179.99   with 10%off         rather than the Varistream.

or just get the controller   and a shurflo pump and add them myself ??? ;D

i better hurry up otherwise the missus is going to kill me,   JUST DO IT she says.

I went through around 3 digital controllers until i gave up and went back to analogue. The one listed above should be made by spring europe. They are all just re badged for suppliers. If it was me i would be going analogue.

When swapping to analogue my total battery usage went down by 10% a day i would say. You can make the DE so accurate its unbelievable.

If it was me. I would be buying;

The shurflo 5L a min pump.

John guest push fit fittings. (so 1/2 inch bsp screw thread to 1/2inch push fit john guest)

Analoge controller as mentioned.

Pump Strainer (again with push fit fittings)

Bone dry system can be easy achieved with push fit fittings.

when they say the  pressure switch should be unplugged on the shurflo pump  if using with the varistream controller,      how do you do that    and why,   would that be the same with a digital controller as well

I'm with Pure on this one.

I have had nothing but Varistreams and they have served us well. But as Pure says, the flow control side isn't good enough, 3 is too slow so you have to live with 4 even although it's a bit fast. The other issue is battery usage which again Pure has highlighted - although easily remedied.

My son still has the analogue Varistream in his van and the dial for setting the flow rate is awesome. Having to open the front to adjust the pressure setting was its Achilles heel.

The only thing the analogue controller hasn't got is a built in volt meter, but they are cheap enough on Ebay if this is a real need.

The analogue controller is certainly the next controller on my shopping list when needed.

I would also buy a Shurflo 5 litre pump. They have never let us down since adding Varistreams to them.

The reason I ask is down to time scale.

I have highlighted how I would do it.

Cleaning spot sell very little John guest fittings. So you would need source some elsewhere. I would take a little more time and do it right first time.

I have no problem in helping you make a shopping list. Just need some idea of what you are doing with all this.

You can use 1/2 hose pipe etc etc. Or you can spend a few quid more and get a leak free system from the get go. Not saying you can't get a leak free system with hose pipe and jubilee clips. But I always had to adjust stuff in my van. With push fit fittings. Fit and forget.
