I have for the last few years given my Christmas tip money to a local charity, does any one else do the same or maybe looking to do so in the future.

So far, I've donated about 2 quid to the RBL when I got a poppy. If I give to charities, it's in a collection tin for animal rescue.
I get turned off charities that give bombs and more ammo and a renovation of the president's palace build water supplies for villages in Africa, that are destroyed a few weeks later during a raid by rebel forces. I suppose that puts me at the "Lower than snake's belly" dept of the donation club. Oh well.

Giving to charity or not is not the reason you are lower than a snakes
belly cozy.

Scouser living in Germany is the only reason that's needed for you to be able
to limbo under a dachshund! ;D
