How much do you guys expect to pay a canvaser for each new customer they sign up

X2 is the going rate. More than a fair price.

i used to pay face value had two methods

first one was contact customers first, confirm interested, book first clean in....pay out

second one i used to pay a percent up front cant remember if was 60-70% of face value

what i found tho with these methods canvasser was putting in daft prices just to get quantity, he also told cusotmers to admit they were agreeing to sign up for minimum of three cleans then cancel

i dont trust canvassers, yes you will get busy but busy fool doing loads of first cleans and sifting thru a load of crap

I don't think a decent canvasser would do this as they have a reputation to keep, especially since alot of there clients use this forum. Dot get me wrong im sure there are idiots out there. But im sure they don't get away with it for long at all

In answer to the initial question Ive been paying my canvassers £60 a day, and there told to target front onlys, with the minimum target of 10 customers a day, with a small bonus for 15+

sorry just to clarify i employed that window cleaner as self employed he wasnt a business as such

dont get me wrong he didnt half get customers in but 80% prob turned out crap over 2 year spell after

Do you target front onlys because it's an easier sell? IE a foot in the door. Cleaning the back can be discussed on the 2nd or 3rd clean once they are happy and familiar with you. It's a tactic I'm using after the initial introduction: "Would you like a price for the front of YOUR (key word use it chaps) home?".

Because I canvass for alot of cleaners I just find its the best deal for the window cleaner, your getting the whole house for the price of the front, and it just kills one of the biggest objections straight of the bat, stops them saying oh I cant have a cleaner because of access issues.

90% of people what like all their windows cleaned. not just half a job

Its not that high, but if what your saying is correct, then buying front canvassed work is definitely the best option, it leaves you free to switch to a whole house and price it exactly how you want it priced with the benefit being youve only paid the front price for that job.

I charge x2 Jim Waugh, plus some extra to cover b&b if I'm travelling a distance. It seems to be the going rate, unless you can get someone local, ie students, or someone working part time, which has its advantages and disadvantages.
