help with pricing this please

What you guys reckon on a price for this, it's around 460 solar panels and 460 windows, it'll be a cherry picker and operator so that's around £370 alone,  any thoughts?

If you need to ask on this type of work you may be in over your head !!
£370 for c/picker + operator seems very light,what about collection & delivery + diesel ?

Costs Before you start + then time involved on the glass etc 2/3 days I reckon + that little bit extra £ on top for hassle

Here's a funny thing....

I got a phone call today from some guy asking us to provide a price for cleaning 460 solar panels on the side of a building. When I asked what company he worked for he mentioned Sun *****, a company we happen to do all of the solar panel cleaning for. I said to ping me an email with pics of the job and he said he would, but said it would be from a personal email because his business email was down.  ::)roll

And lo! See here! A job (I'm going to take a punt and say it's in the North East) with 460 solar panels on the side of a building with someone who is asking for advice on prices!!! What are the odds of that??? It's a funny old world eh?

I called Sun ***** and again, here's a shock, they'd never heard of you, but now have your company details and are none too chuffed that someone may be ringing around purporting to represent their company!

IF, and it is only an IF it was you that called us earlier asking for a price to clean these solar panels, I had worked you out within the first ten seconds of the call.

IF you were trying to trick us by pretending to be from an installer asking for a price when you were actually a window cleaner fishing for info, we have come across this trick before and have set protocol in place on initial calls to prevent this type of thing happening. We got caught on it once and try hard to make sure we never get caught on it again.

IF it was you that made the call, you may have realised that I had worked you out and that's why your email never appeared and why I never got chance to see the pic until now.

Actually everything you said is exactly what he said to me Inc personal email ect, I phoned around my self last night talking to a few pals who oftern hire a cherry picker and that's the price up north which includes a site survey and was still a little perplexed as it's a massive job. Did he say he had a cherry picker and driver to you? , as he did bup I wanted to price up with lads and machinery I trust, anyway give me a bell mate my number is on my website and will swap info on this guy if he is contacting a few and scamming,

I don't understand your post 100% I'm afraid.  So you were asking on behalf of someone else?  Also, I wasn't accusing, that's why I said 'IF'.  There was always the possibility it wasn't you.  It does seem a huge coincidence though doesn't it?

People are just better off being honest.  Ring and ask me outright and you have a better chance of getting somewhere.

Try to trick us and we will work you out, work out where the job is, pursue the job and likely get it based on our experience.    We are happy to do this when people try to dupe us.  The rest of the time, we are not bothered who gets what.

You don't understand my post because your too busy accusing someone who is infact a million miles away from what your accusing and what your on about, facts are I posted up for help obviously having the exact same phone call as you, you put 2 and 2 together and came up with 7 which is the wrong answer, infact I'm quite annoyed at people like you being all happy typing away making accusations and statements when you are so wrong! again obviously looking at my Web is too hard so here's my number 07708565700 so you can speak like men do!
