Cordless vac for stairway

I've recently picked up 3 communal area cleans and I just wondered if anybody uses a cordless vac for cleaning the stairs, its a pain in the behind having to go backwards and forwards unplugging and plugging for each floor, i've tried using an extension but i gets caught on everything it possibly can ( just like wfp hose) any advice would be greatly appreciated, many thanks Dave.

The G Tech Air Ram are supposed to be the dogs danglies of the cordless vacuum world...never tried one myself but think Jim Neal in the cc section has one and loves it.
They are priced appropriately as well though.

The gtec air ram is good but you should get a back pack vac for stairs. Much easier.
