I think the idea that prices are so much higher in the south is a farce. I went up north and seen so many fancy vans. There is not way they don`t make the money to pay for these things fancy machines. There might be chaps working at lower prices just as there is in the south. I think the folk up north are more generous and definitely more friendly up there. Southern customer are more stuck up and insular.Sorry to say this but its true and its my patch.

I was thinking abput it after I posted and it also crossed my mind that I don't get tips through the year but when the fella that helps me does houses on his own he sometimes gets tips where as when I do the same houses I don't.

I've had to buy a wheelbarrow and keep it in the van just to carry my tips home.

Don't forget, that wheelbarrow is tax deductable!

QPR might have to sell their star striker to make up for what you lost if you have another day like this before Christmas.

That'll leave you 47p up on the day. So all is not lost.

Watch it baldy or I'll set Cozy on to you. He eats QPR fans for breakfast - smothering them in baby oil first and dressed in a nappy, so right up your street. :)

Has anyone had tips yet?

My monthly's are all still due before xmas so expect they will start from early december , usually i find its only the last couple of weeks they tip en masse ..
8 weeklys done in november usually say see you in the new year and think theyve got away with it :)

Im going to bring as much work from xmas week forward to the previous week as im going away over xmas so hopefully get double the tips :)

I dont bank on them though , if people do its nice, if not im not really bothered... charge them enough throughout the year ..
My bro in law gets very upset when people dont tip and has even gone as far as putting there price up in the new yr because of it :)
