As a ex bricklayer keep in touch with some of mates who are on the sites. The money is going up they are on £140 to £150 a day that's self employed working hard. Been asked to go back and does cross my mind especially if having a bad day cleaning windows. I aint making what some are making on here but I can make the same as brickies without working as hard, although   i still don't hang about. So think ill stick to windows especially as im coming 58.

We can earn well considering how easy to start and learn it is


But theres way better jobs in the pay department , its just most on here dont have the education and experience on paper to qualify ...

dont believe everything you read mate.just plough your own furrow and build the best work/round,business you can.

the amount of people(friends,family,joe public) who have said to me over the years.you cant do that!itll never work!why are you doing that?dont put your prices up in this climate!blah,blah,blah.i never listened to any of em.

change the defeatist attitude mate and you ll build a much better round/business for yourself and family.

Firstly I'm happy!
The other day I did some calculations.
From my turnover figure, ie total earnings, I deducted all my expenses and tax provision etc and came out with 50% net profit.
Is this about the same as some of you guys?

Something is wrong there mate. I come out with 150% profit on most days. Thats after tax and spending every night in top hotels with my top girfriend, on top of her.
