Employees targets and bonuses
« on: November 04, 2014, 08:56:55 am »
If you have a couple of employees out on there own on a standard wage, what would be best way to work bonuses for hitting targets. Was thinking a £100 bonus at end of each month to cover all (sick days, no complaints etc..) or would it be better to give a smaller weekly bonus. What way does everyone else operate as I'm going to be a newbie to this? Thanks Wayne

Firstly are you paying a decent rate of pay ?

This determines on how much and how often you pay bonus, bonuses are just that a bonus!

We pay a bonus every 12 wks, made up of 3 components - no more than 3 customer complaints in the quarter.  no lateness or sick - if these are achieved we pay a further sum ie. £50 for quality £50 for attendance then £50 for hitting these bonuses.

My rate of pay is slightly above min wage, which would be standard for my area.
What way do you work if employees don't hit daily or weekly targets? Does it effect their pay?
