hi all
do many of you use IBC water tanks in your van and baffle them yourselves? what do you use to baffle them and how effective have they proved to be?
just toying with the idea as ive just bought a bigger van and am going to kit it out with a bigger tank,
after seeing the prices of these, as opposed to purpose made tanks i think its got to be worth considering, just thought id get your views first

It's easy enough to baffle an IBC Tank....that's the least of your problem.
You should be more concerned about how you will secure the IBC Tank in the van.

Too baffle IBC tanks buy a roll of irrigation pipe, comes in sizes from 50mm to 120mm rolls range upto 30 meters but 20 meters will be more than enough. You can then feed it inside the tank as one long coil or cut to lengths So they float around more.
Even without "baffles" I've had less surge than Wyvale tanks and baffled this way absolutely no surge at all.
As for fixing, depends on where you plan to place it, all ours are middle of the van and use steel u bolts through the floor. If going up against the bulkhead then possibly a suitable strap.

The pipe is perforated so put as much in as you want, the more you use the more it will stop a surge of water.
I used 20 mtrs in both 600 ltr and 1000 ltr ibc tanks
