Pump Bypass System
« on: November 01, 2014, 11:18:31 am »
Hey guys, Wintecs haven't bothered to deliver my new pump controller today so i'm in the cr*p a little for monday. Its been a very long time since i did this but can anyone remember how to make a pump bypass system instead of using a digital controller?

I know it have a gate valve and a Y piece section but cannot remember the full setup.

Any pics or details would really help.... Thanks

Easy enough.  Put a "T" piece in the pipes from each side of the pump.  Then a short length of hose joining the two "T"s together with the valve between.  Opening the valve will allow water from the delivery side of the pump to travel across to the inlet side and circulate back round the pump again.

Adjust as necessary.

Three of my lads have been running this method for years - no iffy electronic bits to throw wobblies at inconvenient moments ;D
