following on from my previous post i would like to quote for chewing gum removal at a hotel i clean the carpets at but i haven't got a clue so was hoping someone on here would be able to offer some guidance.

I am thinking of buying two hotboxes after reading the advice from my other post.

i am under the impression that one hotbox with 21ltr per min will not get the water hot enough.

as for the pricing as i have never done any gum removal before i have no idea how long it is likely to take so i am not sure how best to price it.

If you have a 21lpm machine you need a 21lpm hotbox. (15lpm mahcine-15lpm hotbox)
You will get to around 80 degrees which is fine for removing gum.

I have a 21 ltr machine with a 21 ltr hot box. For gum use a .50 15 degree fan nozzle at 3/4 revs. 50p / piece grin all the way home

I've been trying a normal nozzle at 1/2 revs (16lpm pump when at full power) and also on full  revs with a 0.35 nozzle to bring flow down to around 11 lpm.

Cant decide which I prefer.

Match the revs to the nozzle size - watch the RTT and drop the revs till the flow stops.

If your machine does not allow you to drop the revs then do you just use a smaller nozzle or will this damage the pump?
