had a quote of a local firm who say they can do 1000 for £40 they can print off map and show me where they have been using trackers does this sound reasonable works out cheaper than employing someone really

Seems cheap for solus.
£27 for mixed and £60 plus for solus round here.

You can average 140 leaflets an hour (or I could when I used to do my own) so divide that by 1000 is just over 7 hours.

7 hr x £6.50 = £45

How is the company making money?

Solus isn't worth it IMO. If you find a decent company who won't bunch your leaflet then it's just the same as you delivering a leaflet and someone coming along after and dropping a leaflet in on top.

for 40 quid id be happy if they only got 800 out, if it saves u the bother of having to drop people off in areas etc and pick them up id be happy to pay it coz gives u peace of mind to carry on with your own work
