if you had a hot outdoor tap fitted would it stay warm in an ibc after being filtered etc enough to work thru winter

you would need to rap it with loft insulation to help retain the heat otherwise it's money wasted.

Do you mean you'd run hot water through your ro and into your ibc?

Might be wrong but I don't think that's good for an ro.

I have on the odd occasion filled the tank with hot and it stays warm all day.
My set up is tank - pump - di.
I wouldn't fancy my chances if I'd to wait for it filtering through an RO

Yes this works, I have used external hot taps to fill, water stayed hot til I ran out. My only thoughts was would this do any harm to the RO ??

Insulate the tank and drop two 1kw aquarium heaters in the tank .
