I bought a FSC a couple of years ago from ebay, US and had it shipped over here. I had my local PW guy put on the right nozzles and connectors.
I have used it on a couple of occasions, but I dont rate it much. It now sits in the shed.
I found on block paving it didnt clean deep enough between the blocks. There was lots of moss still there.

Would a better quality FSC work better?

That's the same as mine, any heavy moss seems to be a no no I much prefer turbo nozzle, quicker and more effective.

I think you need something with a bit more grunt power wise.

I don't think that would be a problem, surely? It is a powerful machine.

I have always used a turbo and other lances, but the overspray is a pain sometimes.

Yes I think the experts like blast away and rob have 400 bar and 30 lpm

But maybe a mossmatic would clean better than a cheaper type.

the 30lpm are twin operative machines really. The Falch is on another level.
I know people do run FSC from machines 15lpm+

I have the same bar & pressure -just more flow.

The FSC will split the 21 LPM across the cleaning bar, so you get 10.5 LPM on each nozzle. Ask yourself whether that is enough to clean something that has probably been down for a couple of years, has grown a root system that may go underneath the block etc.

FSC's are alright if you are working on less heavily soiled areas but I don't care who you are if you have to split the flow then you are going to have to get the lance out because you ain't getting enough flow on each nozzle to cut through it - not with heavy moss build up.

On mine the mossy is 21 inch and is set up for 35 LPM and the H & M. I'm getting 17 LPM on each outlet. I wouldn't be happy with that.

On the Thor (which is currently on Ebay) I have 40 LPM and the Mossy has 3 arms, splitting the flow to 13 LPM.

I don't arse around with nozzles, once they are set up I leave them, Carl or the cock from Crosby may be able to tell you that you can do it by working on the nozzle sizes.

Try 03's in each arm and ....15 degree nozzles. I would hazard a guess that you have 25 degree fitted.
 Strictly speaking your nozzle size should be 065 split between the two arms on the FSC (but that ain't possible)...so you could go either 03's  or 035's (at a loss in pressure). Assuming there are two arms on the FSC .(02's if there are 3)
The reduction in spray pattern ie  15 degree compared  to  25 degree will help . I would split it also and throw away the cheap 5hit bearing s and fit some jap ones ...they last loads longer.

 There are some big nozzle overpriced machines on e-bay...

I run a 20" whirlaway using a 21lpm machine. 03/15 nozzles. Cleans block paving fine.

The other thing you can do to achieve a better clean is to turn the nozzles - in line with the arm is quicker but less effective, 90 degrees gives the best clean but you have to walk really slow. Get a T bar and then adjustment is really easy.

2 x 25025's in our Falch Scater and 2 x 1503's in our 21" Mosmatic and Floater.
We run the 2 of ours at 21LPM 300 bar.
We used to have a machine with 200 @ 30LPM and was a beast but 300 @21LPM with exceptional heat is far better. Not arsed about the extra cost in fuel, it pays for itself in minutes.

Richy get yourself a commercial system and leave behind the domestic petrols.

I run a mosmatic, 2 x 1503's, running 21 litres at 250 bar, seems to work very well for me, I hardly ever get the turbo out now, unless its foot high bracken or deep rooted grass.

Ive been thinking of buying a falch for a while now. I'm on the look out for a good one at the right price.
I was looking at a thermatech or doff as you know but I think falch would be the way forward.

That was with the whole set up, reels, lances, hoses, filler hose & reel.

I ain't giving it away but it is the only Thor you will see second hand and if Lee Kenny can sell a Zeta for 2.5k then it is worth a lot more than your initial offer, for the machine alone.
