Pre sprays
« on: October 03, 2014, 07:55:23 pm »
What's your general pre spray? The one you use the most?

I use formula 90 it is an extraction product but it works well on the majority of what I clean.

When pre-spraying with Formula 90, do you also extract with it, or just water.
I mostly pre-spray with Ultimate Master and extract with the same, on bad ones I pre-spray with Power Burst.

Used to use powerburst until about  18 months ago, now use the Moss/Ingram concoction  ;D , it beats powerburst and don't need to use as much chemical or even spotters now   ;)

David - I presume then that you run a truck mount as your no1 extractor?

All the big hitting pre sprays are much of a muchness when running a porty, it may come down to the label you like the look of most! Some love the stuff that others hate.

your using formula 90, and it works for you ,so stick with it, I know its not classed as a pre spray but many on here use it that way! and it works for them also.

Power burst, Champion, formula 90, Ultimate Master are all great products! -and there's loads more!

Obviously it's down to preference and what you are cleaning, no good using f90 on a greasy pub. Dave I use a well diluted rinse of f90 on a lot of things but just water on a lot as well.

Shaun, do you use liquid or powdered F90 and what dilution ratio do you use?

At the moment I use either Pureclean by itself or boosted with oxibrite depending, so i suppose the same or very similar to spm or micro x.

Dave lee. Do you mind me asking as to whether you use the ultimate master powder or the liquid in your TM. If you use the powder how many scoops do you use in your chemical jug?
Many thanks

Ultimate master would be no good for a truck mount as they are too hot and UM stops working above a certain temperature

Ultimate master liquid is designed for tms as Stuart has stated, powder won't with stand the heat and start to break down

Sorry to disagree Stuart, Ive used the powdered version in my truck mounts for 11 years and get superb results. I think you are referring to the fact that the enzyme is killed off above 50 degs or so. Whilst that may be true the other ingredients plus the extra heat more than make up for that.

I don't know how many scoops, I use about 650gms in a 15 litre solution jug. It can scum up a bit if mixing with very hot water, but most of this goes back into solution in the jug once it cools.
