I've got nasty commercial coming up (carpet tiles ) and the facility manager has specified LM only!

I was going with - Pre spray followed by white pad and then soil sorb pad - but I've heard a few raving about the zebra pads?

I didn't like them myself I found them a little too aggressive on the pile in places. My personal favorite way is to agitate in using a shampoo brush then go over with a bonnet. But if you want to give them ago I have a couple I would sell you.

However quick and visually effective encap is on carpet tile etc.. i still feel like I'm only doing half a job, especially times when i extract and see what I would have left behind.

sounds interesting got a picture of one? don't think Victor, Truvox, nuematic, dry fusion or Thermadry System do them? but we are 10 years behind the yanks in this field

I was thinking of sacrificing one off my brush drive boards - shouldn't be to hard to do, basically cut away the centre to leave 3 inches of bristle all round the edge and plant a bonnet in the middle, I think if the bristle is cut short enough is should grip the bonnet just fine!

over the last 25 years ive retired many scrubber driers, but always kept hold of drive plates/brushes

Yes Len I often bonnet after extracting and it does make a bit of dirt on the bonnet, But just bonneting without extracting make me feel as if I have only done half the job. Especially as when I have extracted after bonneting the carpet is often much brighter and the water is often black. I know encap and bonneting can give good visual results and is quite often the only way on the larger commercial jobs but its still doesnt feel right leaving all that crud there.

Yes. Been running these for a while now with either Fiberplus pads in the centre or micro beast scrub pads.

They work amazingly well.

Remember the soil isnt removed until the carpet is dry in these situations.
Also as great as Encap is its not always the answer.
Some carpets still need the works to bring them back although we find with machines like the Cimex doing the work extraction is required on less and less often reserved just for traffic lanes, entry points etc where we have really heavy soiling. Even then its still mainly dry soil getting pulled out.
