Arrived at a £16 bungalow today.
- There's a bit of cladding on the side of the chimney going a bit green. Can you give it a once-over?
I take a look. It's 2ft6in x 2ft6in. And it's clean enough that I'd leave it alone if it were on my house.
- Sure, but I'll have to charge you two hundred quid, I say as I walk away to the back of the house.
I clean and the cladding adds about thirty seconds. Maybe forty. Go to collect and she hands me a cheque for £216.
If only I could have left with it...
