Hose and Reel Question
« on: September 23, 2014, 03:19:12 am »
Currently have 20m of 6mm rhino hose.  Want to purchase 100m of hose on a reel so I can run it out and leave my DI setup in back of truck.  Would I be better off getting 8mm for the 100m and then connecting it to the 6mm, or would 6mm be ok all the way.  Where is the best place to buy from.  Many thanks in advance.

Depending on your budget you can get a Claber lightweight hose reel and 100m of Thermobore hose from www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk  for £133.14 .

You are better off buying Thermobore as it is much more durable i only use cold water and it is worth the extra spend 44 months now and still going strong .

You will need to order the connection pack with the reel as well as you get a brass elbow etc . Mike

100 meters of microbore is the only way to go, light and easy to use.

I get mine from here

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WFP-Microbore-Minibore-Water-Fed-Pole-Hose-6mm-id-x-11mm-od-100mtr-YELLOW-/151415725474?pt=UK_HomeGarden_CLV_Cleaning_CA&hash=item2341149da2

Excellent stuff been using it for two years with hot and cold water.

Get a reel like these,

Better than cheapo plastic reel

Thanks Mike and Smudger.  The microbore looks like good value for money if it holds up.  As I will be shipping it to NZ will probably go for a reel out here to keep costs down.
