I'm sure it's only lwb and swb that's different. Think I measured it at some point.

Just recently bought a lwb hi top transit connect and I went for thule profesional Bars, get them from fasteronline.co.uk give them a ring if you can't find them on website, there under professional roof bars, or heavy duty roof bars. Reason I went for thule is they also have a special ladder mechanism you can purchase later that pulls out and down the side of the van for easy access to ladders. Its called the 'thule ladder tilt' and as said, is an upgrade for the future!

Ps I've found the roof bars superb, they look great and fit perfectly. Really really well made.

Only went for thule for the simple reason of being able to add the ladder tilt at a later date, plus it's hard to come by a decent roof rack that fits the connect. I've always gone for budget roof racks in the past, but this one is aluminium, nice and light weight, no wind noise, and as said means I can fit the ladder tilt. Didn't fancy ladder rollers as I like to keep the ladders clamped with winder clamps that I can padlock over night - assuming you were thinking addind rollers with stalks that dont secure the ladder.

Ladder tilt looks great as means you don't need to use step ladders to clamp

not at all dave.ive spent 2 grand on 3 poles, brushes and goosenecks but i try and not pay over a hundred quid for a roof rack as i only use my ladders a few times a week.most days the ladders dont even come off the van! ;D ;D

good decent, light poles are essential IMO if you use them all day/every day.
