Set my prowler up for 1st time today and tried it feeding from water tank but the pressure works for a few seconds then drops to nothing then builds up when i let go of trigger then drops after a few seconds it seems like it's not getting enough water.

The feed from tank to machine is just standard hose pipe could that be the problem ? and do i need bigger size hose ? could someone post picture of hose i need from tank to machine please,

I know nothing about this machine but it has similar pumps to a pressure washer and I would say it's a air lock problem . Connect a hosepipe from a tap to it and run the machine with nothing attached to the end so water can run freely through the pump. This will prime the pump with water, then attach it to the tank which should start the flow of water to the machine. Hope this solves your issue

You may benefit from fitting a demand pump between the water tank and the machine to force feed it.

Depending on the size of the tank and the amount of water in it its not normally a problem unless running higher psi/flow.

Unless it's gravity fed into the pump you always run the risk of air locks, a check valve to stop fall back helps so does a perfectly leak free unit. if water leaks out then air can leak in and allow the water to fall back into the tank.

If you look at the inlet of the pump you can judge the biggest size of horsetail that will fit.... Fit the biggest and use supply hose to match.

No Stuart and Garry still got my Trusty Dry fusion and will always keep it. Jamie i don't know how to fit a pump lol and it should be ok it was in use same setup before i bought it. I think it's down to the size of hose and Mike i built a platform to sit tank on and it's slighty higher than prowler iv'e been busy on a big painting job but hopefully finish tmoz so i can check things more ive run off hose from tap and it keeps pressure but no more than 600-700psi which is more than i need so not bothered i got it for a good price but just want to do a job with it lol.

Remove water inlet connector as there is a filter behind this. It is likely clogged and requires cleaning. If the machine was never pump fed before then this should resolve your problem.

will check it all tomorrow been really busy on a big painting and carpet job which i have finally finished after 11days solid  can get back to normality now cheers for all advice i think i will need bigger hose outlet as Neil mentioned but filter will be my 1st port of call.

Checked everything and even spent £20 on new 3/4 hose and fittings but won't keep pressure i cant higher tank anymore it is slightly higher but not much so looks like a pump what Jamie suggested. Jamie can you post link to pump you would recommend and would it be able to be run from prowler battery ?

Whats that Simon not got a clue mate it worked in last van i haven't done anything different. Would the check valves stop it working with hose or not i'l add pic of feed aswell see if you think it's not high enough.

Sure I`v got the right pump in the lock up somewhere, I`ll have a look, never had to use it with the Prowler.

The way you have your tank set you shouldn't need a pump unless running high pressure on it.

Maybe it's the pump it only goes upto around 700psi off hosepipe and regulator is off a scorpion that leaks slightly but like i say i knew this and it worked ok before i got it im not bothered that psi only go's upto 700 cause i'l only use upto 500 i just want it running to do my 1st clean with it lol

From the end of that new pipe to the inlet of the pump is there any fittings or is it an  uninterrupted flow direct into the pump?

If that tank is full and there is no break in the line then the pump is definitely not being starved of water

It's uninterrupted if i take the qc off prowler it floods out great pressure but as soon as connected it will build pressure but as soon as i press trigger on wand or try open hose for airlock it drops to nothing it only holds pressure with hose from my tap
