little white spots
« on: September 14, 2014, 05:18:32 pm »
hi I'm sure this question has already been asked time and time before. I've been a wfp window cleaner for over 1 and a half years now. I've never had any complains so far . which I do find quite amazing since whenever I get the chance to check the final result from inside the house . I can always spot some little white spots ( usually just under the upper windows) .custys just don't seem to notice or care much about it. now is that can be avoided?or is it just the way it is with wfp ? I know you might say : avoid touching the top window frame when rinsing ) but the thing is : it's not easy when rinsing to see where the brush is positioned. Any comments very welcome. cheers

When doing a first clean, for me the most important part of the window is the top of the frame, clean and rinse,I normally do this at least twice, then clean all other windows, then go back and clean again, the spotting is due to dirt being left on top of the frame.
Also check you water with your tds, ensure you cleaning with pure,or as close to pure as poss
Time spent on your first clean, will minimise any future problems.
That's what I do,and don't get spotting, not saying I'm the best window cleaner but it works for me,others will have different methods

I noticed that when I used to do first cleans.  I now clean them twice and then rinse.  Some houses will actually need to have this done twice if they have had a windy that used load of soap over the years.

thanks for the replies.if cleaning windows with lots of windowpanes would you say it's best to clean and rinse all top frames of every windowpanes?

in yes mate in my opinion, you can't scrub and rinse enough, first clean is the important one, then it should be easy after that especially if frames are UPC,wooden frames and metal frames can always give you grief.

That's what I started to do few weeks back. Charge a double clean and clean the top frame. I don't clean the top frame like others do as part of the normal clean. It will minimize spotting until they get dirty then I'll charge as and when they want it done.
