Yes mate , normally have tdis but this td5 was offered to me
And couldn't resist. 70k miles one owner( local midwife )
Will be tight fit but will streamline setup to make it work

The 300tdi is excellent but the td5 is in a different class. I've recently bought a new(er) one with a transit engine in it. It's OK but I prefer the td5, it's more straigforward while still being refined enough to live with every day.

Also, 70k is nothing. We have an 02 plate that just ticked over 245k, still chugging away.

It had a starting problem and owner had retired and didn't want to
Spend on it so I viewed and made offer which they accepted.
You can guess what problem was..... Yep simple starter motor
Solenoid and conecters wed shot , so £32 fix.:-)
I understand why you favour the td5 as the puma engined
Landrovers are a step too far I think

My mate has a Defender on a 13 plate with a 2.2 Ford Diesel and a 6 Speed manual - weirdest thing ever - it's like being in 1957 yet everything is new ! He loves it.

Never had one but they are immensely cool.

Probably the only vehicle that The Queen has one and so does her Gardener.

Classless and full of class !

The 90 returns 28-32mpg which is soooo much better than the
18-22mpg my last Landy. The transit average is 31 but can get close
To 40mpg on long steady journeys, which I don't do any of lol

110s (like plumtree's) get somewhere between 20 and 30 depending on weight and how you drive. 35+ is possible but unlikely.

Tyres are Goodyear Duratrac. Not too noisy on the road.
