Can anyone tell me how you work with these (Gardiners version). I guess the water is controlled completely by the silver dial with no option of using a valve on the pole hose? Or is there a pressure switch built in?

As far as I know they have pressure switches. I also use the valve from gardeners as I would for the tank

You can use a valve, an aquatap, an aquadapter, a remote control or even kink the hose :p
