We are cutting back, as my husbands bonus was very small.
We are asking the cleaner to do them as a way of saving money and you are very expensive.
They have a house worth about 2 million, full time gardener and a nanny.
I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying.

A couple of winters ago I turned up at a regular customers house...

Knocked on the door... The husband (who I had never met previously) answered it...

Me - "Hi - I'm the window cleaner, I'm here to clean your windows".

Him - "Oh, no not today... It's too cold".

Me - "It's OK, I can clean them on my own, you can stay inside in the warm this time".

He just looked at me and closed the door.

I cleaned the windows, left a slip, got paid, they are still a customer now.

Had one today - You can leave it until next time, as it hasn't rained much recently.

'Not today, I cut the grass yesterday' ... apparently they got into a routine of me calling the day before he cuts the grass, something to do with my ladder marks in his lawn
Where am I knocking today?

"no not today the plumber is on his way"
that's ok Ive got my own water
"no no we don't need anymore hassle ... one of the radiators are leaking - come back tomorrow"
Nope ...  too much hassle - wont be back again mate.

they used to follow me around watching from inside then had to squeegee kitchen window

still do houses either side  :)
