You need a 25/30ft pole if the house had gabels. I usually flick over these anyway lol

Something like this is invaluable for cleaning the fascia's (the difficult to reach bit between the gutter and fascia).

Makes the job a lot easier. You'll need to drill the hole for the hose yourself.
Cheap as chips from Wilko's or Home Bargains fits Gardiner's resi necks.

what sean means is if you have a gable end s/f/g job the apex will be too high for you to reach with a 22 footer on some properties.ive had a clx.they are a good budget pole.bendy at full stretch though compared to an extreme.
price higher/work harder!

The clx 22 wont be long enough for fascia and soffits even on a 2 storey property it wont
reach the top of the gables.
I would recommend a SLX30 for fascia and soffit work.

Not saying your wrong as I've not used one and I'm new to WFP however I've got a cheap 18ft WFP which I got from amazon and that reaches my gutters.  I'm guessing your average 2 storey house is 6 metres high and that is 19ft, still leaving another 3ft available. Like I said I'm not saying your wrong I'm just after clarification as money is tight and I can only just stretch to the clx 22 so don't want to spend the money on it if it's not going to reach

Yes your 18ft will reach along the sides o.k. (front and back) if you don't have a conservatory or extension.
But it wont reach the top of the gables on most 2 storey properties.
Then you will have properties with a garage below the gables these again will need the 30 footer.(if you don't want to be working
while standing on a sloping garage roof)
I have cleaned many 2 storey properties where it took the 30ft pole to complete them and I have also cleaned properties
where my 18 footer done the job.
At the end of the day you could get the CLX22 and if you find it doesn't do the job buy another section to make it longer.
But for the sake of your joints I would still recommend a SLX or better for anything above 22ft.

Depends on your own physical condition but a clx27 will do the job
which is around two thirds carbon, you can always take a section off
or two as needed and get the appropriate end caps.

I intended to do this myself but I find the pole light so use the pole as
a 27footer all the time.

Gary is used to carrying his rather large mobile phone around with him
Though so his arms were prepared for the 27footer

I too am used to physical work being an ex miner n all.
You don't need to be big strong or fit to use a pole though.
However it is repetitive, now some people will suffer very little if at all from repetitive strain injuries and some will suffer a lot.
What you dont want to do is find out the hard way cos once you have an rsi try getting shut of it.
Therefore buy the lightest easiest to use pole you can find and dont scrimp and save in this area.
Diy your system and buy an extreme from Mr Gardiner.
Oh and as an upside your hourly rate will go up too ;D

Ex miner you lot were always on strike, you might of aswell said you were a ex council
worker ;D

I can honestly say I find the clx that light it feels like im klifting absolutely nothing
but weight has little to do with repetitive strain injury.

If I was prone to rsi I would get it no matter what pole I used

You'd be more likely to get it with a heavy or flexy pole

If you are prone to rsi you could use a pole half the weight of the extreme
and the repetitive nature of the work would still nail you, typists get it and people
who click on a mouse all day are prone to it and carry no weight.

Your own physical condition or the lack of it will have a greater effect on you
getting rsi, strengthening your core your posture and how you use the weapon of
your choice when working are bigger considerations than the incremental difference
in pole weights.

Obviously if you are using a 25ft universal pole all day everyday you are going
to end up shattered  ;D but some physical extertion is good for you.

Point is you don't know if your going to get rsi till its too late.
So why not edge your bets and buy the equipment that'll put least strain on your body?
I'm as tight as they come and look on flabbergasted when folk spend thousands on a tank and pump.
I had the same attitude to poles so I made my own to start with then in unlikely move I spent some money on an slx.
Best thing I ever did window cleaning wise and if I was full time I'd have an extreme.
It'd be a no brainer

Dg to certain extent I agree with you but the weight difference between slx
and extreme we are talking about grams not pounds in weight and the tiny difference
would have no bearing on rsi injury due to the repetitive nature of this job.

But I take on your opinion even though I disagree with it ;D
