I have a Mytee 1003 Dx which has 450psi pump, 2kw heater and 2 x 3 stage vacs.

I was mulling over whether it's possible to change one or both vacs to the 6.6. ones, but I expect the answer will be either:

1. No, because they won't fit or

2. No, because you're already at the max for 2 cords.

If number 2 is the case then what if I went for disconnecting the internal heater and using a Magma or similar instead?

is there enough room inside to fit two 6.6 vacs ?
is the internal wiring and circuit board with capacitors etc(if there is one) sufficient ?
is the waste tank strong enough for the extra vacuum ?

The wiring and the waste tank would be easy to overcome but the biggest problem I think you may have is fitting 6.6 motors in a space that's meant for 5.7 motors

Two of these  ( this is the 230v even thought site is in the states ) ... tapered like a 6.6  but with the suction advantage of a three stage , best of both worlds and easy fit .
you need the gaskets as mentioned on the page ..

says 556 airwatts but the data sheet from electro shows 580.

you will be running around 15 amps max if the pump is also on the one cord ... but dont worry , so am i with no issues what so ever .

depends how you measure powerfull  ...
I would say they are as they have more suction  ...

There are a few electro motors  ...  the one above is more powerfull than the usuall ametek 5.7 because it is a higher wattage and also has the tapered fan bottom that improves efficiency in the likes of the 6.6 and 8.4  .

your machine body has not been tested for this volume. you could just use one like they done on cfr machines now.

I personally dont think the 6.6 vacs are reliable, when I owned a Jag it blew 6 of the things in less than a year! I know solutions tried to publicly blame me saying I had neglected the machine, funny realy I've owned two scorpions over a period of eight years cant think how many thousands of hours they have done, but I have only had one set of vacume motors replaced per machine !!

stuart, do not blame 6.6 engine, it was a Jag
with a storm for over a year a replaced 1 engine not so far ago, storm mounted in the van, so engines works in a bit warmer temp. , and I do not run dry the storm much after job.

I have a friend in Stafford who will remain anonymous bought a brand new Storm a few months ago, two weeks later the first vac blew then a month or so after another
so I dont have a lot of confidence in 6.6 motors, I haven't heard of any problems with the electro motors

In my opinion I think there were a couple of issues with the 6.6 vacs. The 1st is they generate more heat and in the main they have been placed in machines without proper cooling so they pop. Some of the earlier ones had a weak bearing housing which can fail, I had one go and it was replaced with a new vac with the upgraded housing. I've had no other problems.
