I've been offered the chance to buy a contract for commercial cleaning an office block in Cardiff

Basically the contract is 25 hours / week with 2 people covering the work working 2.5 hours per morning tupe will not come into this as

What would you guys charge for a 25 hours / week contract as I will have to at least keep price for a while - maybe until April

Thanks in advance

2.5 hrs per morning is not 25 hrs per week?

Is it labour only?

2.5 hours each so 5 hours in total Monday to Friday

Not labour only as would need to supply cleaning supplies

Thats an impossible question to answer. It would depend on many factors. But if that was me in Leeds I would price £11.16 per hour for 25hrs.

So this would be £1209 pcm

costings as below.

Wage Rate £6.31
Monthly Payroll £683.58
Company NI £75.19
Holiday Pay £73.62
Equipment £6.50
Materials £34.18
Uniforms PPE £0.77
Insurance £6.24
Management Admin £68.36

Total monthly costs £948.44

Of course some of these costs are fictitious so in truth you should expect Materials to be around £20 and admin is nil, so the profit  should be around £400 pcm.

But a lot will have to do with what they are paying now, trust me they will not pay much higher, if at all.

good luck

Drew

Thanks for that

That's the problem they are only paying £9/hour

It also includes 2 other smaller contracts which are around 4k / year for both 3 hours each / week

So all in all about 16k for 31 hours  / week

Asking price is £2k which will inc all supplies vacs mops chems whatever us in the cleaners cupboard

I know it's very low & probably know he answer to be honest  but what are your thoughts

So it works out at £9.92 per hour, so you are in the ball park area , so its ok and a good price to buy, but make sure the clients are OK with the change over, do you know the seller well?
