Can you not just buy a controller?
There's a hexagonal nut (female) at the bottom of the pump. Let your pump run with your hose and pole hose connected to it and adjust that nut so that the pump runs nicely, but shuts down quickly when you nip the hose.It adjusts the amount of pressure for the pressure switch to kick on and off.We haven't used a flow controller with these pumps for about three years (I think?).
