fair point sqeaky  ;D
It's a bit like the H bomb. It's not gonna pick on me..........or you or single any of us out. If H5N1 comes out to play it'll take half the UK out with it. And if that happened there wouldn't be loads to hang around for anyways.
The media would love us to believe that to be the case cos.....yep, it sells papers and gets the dark side of you watching their news channel and not the rivals. This time next week Trever McDonald will be doin his half hour bit from north of the border. Bottom line is, they'd just love it if this took out one or two of our population...........what a scoop.
But despite all the hype, this will all fizzle out like foot n mouth, salmanella and whatever crap was sent to scare the pants of us at the time. As tosh said, our feathered friends will be the ones on the pyres. Not us.
OMG I'm doing an Ian Giles......Sorry Ian  ;)

Some of you may be aware that i do office cleaning as well, one of my contracts is at a power plant where they burn chicken faeces to create electricity ( don't ask me how i'm not a scientist). The percieved risk far outweighs the actual risk.

My cleaners are being extra careful with their hygiene on and off site washing hands, covers on shoes, masks when walking through areas where the chicken faeces is stored. But other than that they are operating within an controlled environment.

How many of you wash your hands when your out on your rounds when you have sandwiches.

Maybe now I can not concentrate on cleaning bird crap off windows!
Gives a good excuse to my customers,

"Dear customer, bearing in mind the inevitable dangers Bird Flu now creates, I will no longer be cleaning these vile creatures faeces from your windows!"

Had to be the Scots.... ::)

We should put the wall back up. ;D

And now that everyone else has stopped using ladders, they won't even be able to climb over it.    ;D

from the bit i highlighted its got to be considered

who uses a scraper to remove dried on bird poo, you scrape it and then where does the dust and particles go, thats right, you enhale them
Quote

I always wet window before i scrape it, especially birds mess, am I right in saying that particles are less likely to get airbourne?
like said by others not worried about bird flu. just dog poo
& getting paid quickly.

If you all want to joke and swap one liners, then you all know the section of the forum to visit for lighthearted banter.

I'd hate to have to lock a topic of genuine concern.
