Hi. Thinking of buying a backpack but unsure which one to buy.
Has anyone used the Kobold range? Looks pretty handy with the handle and wheels, can anyone recommend? (See pic)
Other option is a Gardiner, it doesn't have wheels but no doubt its decent, does anyone use one?

We have been using this for three months now, and it works very well, and the wheels, and handle make it easier to use. This is how backpacks should be made,   Would highly recommend it

jim its the same as the gardiner v2.i have the gardiner one.its good for the odd awkward job.id get the one with wheels if your using the backpack as your main tool for wfp as you dont want to be carrying it everywhere or wearing it on your back all day.

All backpacks are much of a muchness,the main difference
between any of them is price.

I would never wear a pack on my back, pick up put down as required

main things to look for:

flow controller
good handle
able to buy spares

the rest is pretty much the same on most backpacks around, the better looking ones - as in better built aren't clear which is a shame but noting major just would be handy if clear to see your water levels.

I'll only be using it for awkward jobs so maybe only a few times a week. Just seems like a great addition to the van, as dragging the hose round can sometimes be a ball ache.
Defo interested in the kobold backpack, my only concern is getting spare parts, faults etc. Atleast with a Gardiner (v3) you know where you stand.
I get the impression they're all pretty similar so unless someone tells me otherwise I'll prob give the kobold range a try, especially as it's less than £100.

The best thing about these for us, is when cleaning the backs of terraces, you can just wheel it round.
We have the one without the handle, and wheels, and it needs to be put on a trolley, and the lid falls off !
The guy that sells these has got all the spare parts, and I have bought a few of the extra spraying parts for when spraying
chems.

Samson, is yours a kobold one ordered from eBay (the same one in the pic in original post)?
Does it come with everything or are there extra parts that's need to be ordered? I have a Gardiner pole, can I just clip up and way I go?

The one on Ebay ( link above ) is just for the unit, if you check the sellers other items, there are different options for the fittings to join your pole hose fitting
