We currently use a 27ft CLX all day.

The clamps are becoming an issue, seriously warn n loose.

Are these clamping kits still the way forward from Gardiners?

Also, I want to buy a smaller pole for lower windows and cons etc?

Talk to me crew... and happy weekend  ;D

Not sure a SLX 25 would be high enough? We do alot of work that our current pole just reaches x

SLX 25 reaches as far if not further because it doesn't bend.

I use a CLX 18 for most of my work - the CLX 27 comes out for the odd 3 story window....

Thought the 27 was light till I bought the 18 - When finances allow I'll go full carbon...

On the plus side, apparently I've now got shoulders like 'Rocks' from using the 27  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Every cloud n all that .. and I'm 48 yrs old

They are a better pole as they are full carbon but going from a CLX to a SLX wont be as good as some
make out on here.
I went from a xtel to the CLX and wow what a difference, I then had to get myself a SLX partly because of
all the hype on here.
To be honest I didn't get the same buzz and found it fairly whippy over garage roofs and so on.
Its an SLX30 by the way.
To be honest I would stick to the CLX until you have the money to get an xtreme.

I have a CLX 27 and I was using a friends SLX 25 today and have to say I wasn't that amazed. Yes it was thinner and a bit firmer on full extend but it was much of a muchness really.

For 20 summat quid I would just get the smart clamps.

Do you really need a smaller pole? Mines fine for low work. Not exactly heavy really...

SeanK speaks the truth - I want at least a year out of my CLX's before I employ (then they can use it) and buy myself a lighter pole

Without sounding big headed, money for a pole isnt an issue... just want the best on the market.

Mayb I'm the exception to the rule then.

I found going from clx to slx a massive jump.

If money us no issue then it should be an extreme you need to look at.

I've never owned one. :(

But from what I hear it's rigidity and lightness. But they do wear out quicker.

I found a large difference between an SLX and a CLX. I would never buy another CLX.

We only use SLX's  The only pole that is not an SLX in our vans is the modular superlite which I love.. Looked at an extreme but was reliably informed they are nowhere near as hard wearing as an slx

Changing the clamps to the new style ones will make the pole feel like new again, I did it, and I am rubbish at DIY,so go for it, and recycle  ;D
