Where should my pump go?
« on: July 29, 2014, 05:45:41 pm »
Had my shurflo pump in a box sat on top of a 400l upright tank it worked the first couple of times but now it does seem to be able to suck the water up so I have moved it a bit lower down but still no joy does it have to be lower down near the tank out let?

Stick it low down, on the floor, and it should solve any airlock problems you have.

A Shurflo pump will suck water 12' above the water level in the tank. Have you connected the inlet and outlet the correct way round?

Just got the extreme 25 super light pole just finding the clamps are hard to get use to and only two places where you can clamp but great bit of kit

Always put the pump low for longevity despite how much it might suck

It's too tidy looking.  Squeaky's van is always tidy too.

Men aren't tidy, mate, now get a grip and sort it out.

id just kitted it out in the pic tosh.i keep things pretty tidy though and im very organised.i wouldnt say OCD but not far off.

its just the way i am.a bit like the japanese!very orderly and polite but when i was drinking all hell would break loose!

is there not some japs that just go mad once a year and get steaming drunk then back to routine, orderliness and hard work the next day?

I have the same problem and any time I disconnect the pump outlet or tank runs dry I hang outlet hose below bumper until water pours out then reconnect.
