Budget price please
« on: July 25, 2014, 05:55:19 pm »
Hi guys

I won't be cleaning these myself, I will be subbing it out to someone local, however, the windows form part of a much bigger job including carpets and marble floors, and I have to submit a price asap !

I would appreciate it if someone could give me an idea of price based on the info below. It's a new build and huge !

I need to price for inside and out - thanks in advance.

9 x 13 panel, arch top windows
35 x 12 panel windows
5 x 8 panel windows
6 x 15 panel windows
10 x standard size, single panel windows
18 x 5 panel french doors
4 x 10 panel french doors
2 x 12 panel french doors
6 x 15 panel french doors
5 x full height, full width patio doors
1 x 8 panel atrium

I appreciate no-one has seen it so any pricing will be approximate

Cheers

Do you already know who you are subbing it out to or is that to be determined?
A lot of ifs here but:  If you want an accurate quotation and if the job is outside the low emission zone (my van is old) and if I've a reasonable chance of subbing it from you, I would be happy to drive up and quote the windows for you.  I'm assuming by new build you mean that the builder's clean is already done.  I'm in Crawley.
As for quoting it from a text description, I wouldn't want to risk misleading you.  It's just too difficult for me to imagine it by text only.  Have you any photos? (with company name etc. blanked out to stop poachers).

"Panel" isn't a very helpful term.

They could be anything from 6" square (Georgian windows) upwards.

Are all the 'panels' the same size?  If not you'll need to specify.

What is the building? That would help.

My apologies - these are new double glazed windows, I would say the panels are 9" x 6"

It's a new house, approx 10,000 square feet, knowing the area I would guess it's worth £4 million

Fully appreciate what you're saying, unfortunately time is not on my side as the deadline is approaching to get the work done in time for a family party / house-warming.
Photos were a no-no due to the client's profession

Steve,
just to clarify and not to be misleading. The estimate i gave you would be for a standard maintenance clean using wfp on the outside.
If it needs a full builders clean, then the figure will be much higher and will need to seen before anyone could price it.

Point taken and understood.
I'm going to submit a much higher price and if she doesn't like it then good luck, she can organise it herself.
A few of the internal windows are 20 feet high due to the galleried landing - it's not a straightforward job inside.
By the way the job is near epsom racecourse in surrey.

Near Epsom I see. That'll be £450.00 a day for two of us, 650 litres of pure, poles to 45' and all internal work.
