Guttervac setup
« on: July 16, 2014, 08:49:27 pm »
So I have a guttervac and I have the poles.  Do I need to get hose to go with it?  how does it fit in the pole?  Where do you get the hose from if I do have to get it?

I have bought 50mm Anodised Lightweight Vacuum Tubes and I have a nilfisk 30 vacuum.

First you might need 5 metre 50mm fexi hose to plug into the vac and reducer goes on the end of your pole for comfort fit.

So the hose has to be the same length as the pole???

and go all the way up to the top??

or does it just need to be long enough to go from the vac to the pole?

Hi Koop, it's not like your wfp. It's just from vac to base of pole , then pole acts as your vac pipe sucking all the crap out.
So if you're doing mainly domestic stuff, 5-6m should be long enough to suit your needs. Grippatank sell the pipe and cuffs(x2) 51mm required to fit vac end and base of pole.

Cool.  Used the grippervac link and bought 5 m with 2of those end bits.

Getting expensive now total cost so far is £360... thats a nilfisk. 7m poles and 5m hose.

I'd find 5m of hose too short.

I have 7.2m and find it too short at times.  I have just ordered a 10m length, I hope it's not too cumbersome!
