Spraying Virisol
« on: July 16, 2014, 08:22:41 pm »
I have a 5 litre hand pump sprayer with the 2 foot lanch attachment. I want to spray virisol on to a 2 storey house. I have read before to get 7 metres 4mm tubing & a 5 meter harris pole. Just wondering has anybody used this. My concern is would there be enough pressure to pump the virisol up 7 metres?

Have you got a backpack at all? If you're going to be doing a few of these kind of jobs, might be worth considering as you put your mix in, attach your pole and spray on. A backpack will send it up quite a way. Use a diff brush though. Then just connect up to your system to spray off with pure.
Alternatively, if it's possible, just apply virosol directly to brush and apply.

Make an extended lance using an old pole. I fitted an in-line tap to mine. Get a suitable amount of pole hose, attach to pump sprayer, fit tap or trigger, get old resi neck, glue nozzle in neck, join nozzle plastic tube to pole hose with JG straight fitting, job done. And yes it will pump a decent distance. Mine runs through about 30' of hose.
We look at them, they look through them.
