Don't get me wrong smudger i love gardiners poles and brushes but it just seems like anytime someone trys to say anything about another brand of pole they get shot down in flames.

Paul

I would love to see more competition.
It can only be good for the shiner on the street.
The pole this thread is based on is a carbon copy of an SLX but Steven is saying it's better.
If it is, show us.
Show some real world stats.
I said the extreme has Ferrari type carbon, cause Alex said.
Steve said it wouldn't.
Then he says it might be but it won't be the same the same ::)roll
It's 20g lighter than an SLX. I bet it's about 20mm shorter too.
We've heard it all before.
'Best pole ever' 'lightest pole ever' 'most rigid pole ever' etc etc.
Upto 40ft I have not used a better pole than Gardiners in 11 years.
50ft and over, Ionic poles (the Swift+) is better than the extreme in use. It's only the collapsed length that let's the 80' down.

I have no brand loyalty whatsoever (except adidas, no idea why, just can't wear any other trainers), if someone comes along with a better, cheaper suitable pole I'll buy that. Right now it's the SLX.

Unfortunately Paul it's gardiners competitors who usually shoot themselves down, just research many of the aquadaptor and Phoenix threads....

They can neither handle the questions or themselves when on the forum in a professional business like way.

For me as a business and customer I welcome more choice, but service and quality are paramount !!!

I was one of the main champions for the aqua daptor when it came to market, I even helped test development models and hose before release ( that was with Paul )
So I'm happy to support new poles etc.. But as yet none of them have come up with the goods

Before sticking up a pic you'd think a manufacturer could answer such questions as:

How much?
Exact extended and closed length.
Exact weight.
Can it be extended and by how much?

What brushes/jets will it be sold with?

You'd hope that knowing it's the SLX he has to beat that he would have a pic of the SLX and the Exceed side by side at full length showing how his is more rigid.

But no.
It's a game of three halves!

We do a super light pole, this is the slx type of range, but we do a lightweight one, all will be revealed in due time.

What will be revealed in due time?

I don't mean to nitpick but the sentence doesn't make sense.

1320Gr

too heavy, i am out! would keep my xtreme 25 ;)
This was my reply when i was asked the weight of my pole, and the question was how heavy is my 22ft pole, i said 1320grm, but i was not comparing it to a extreme, but i do have a super duper light pole that is just as light as extreme.

actually my question was for your 25ft not 22ft! read page 1
you said you have the best pole, much better than others suppliers so i was expected at least as good as the extreme 25!

Looks a nice pole Steve.
The little stopper bit looks good.
Could that be made of rubber? Could make a little shock absorber, help the clamps stay on.

You know when you unclamp and a section slides down and the clamps slap together.
That, over time, causes the clamps to come loose.
If there was a little rubber gasket/shock absorber between the clamps that would prolong the life of clamp glue.

So how does the connector work?  I appreciate you don't want to give out your trade secrets but does the pole just fill with water itself or is there some kind of collapsing hose inside the pole?  Which ever way it is, when you collapse the pole where does the water with in the pole go?  Could you use this kind of system with an aqua adapter?

Hi Simon,
Thanks for asking, the pole does not fill with water, that would be heavy, yes you can use Aqua-dapter.

Steven.

My question is what happens if the rectus connector inside the pole goes naff, can it be replaced and if so, how?
