« on: July 11, 2014, 09:00:45 pm »
Was advised to go with two resin vessels so bought another vessel from the cleaning spot, once my original vessel started to turn we then added the new vessel at the front but so far we have got less out than normal am I doing something wrong?

you are on about double di. the new resin goes 2nd inline. dont forget to check the tds of 1st vessel regular as the tap tds can become less.  8)

I put the water coming into the old resin vessel then flow through the resin with the new resin is that right ????

We cannot use an ro system, and we were trying to get extra out

When adding a 2nd vessel, you put the used vessel first ie nearest the tap. That will bring your tap water down from whatever it is to say 007ppm and then the 007ppm flows into the new resin, making your resin last longer.
We look at them, they look through them.

What have you got less of coming out?

Also make sure you have the flow going the right way on both vessels.

Got vessels going the right way but I usually get at least 3500 litres out this time I only got 2700 and I thought I would get more than 3500, it might be the vessel as when I purchased it the filter at the top did not fit tight I thought I had fixed it but it may have come loose so will see over the weekend when I change the resin. If it has come loose I will not be happy with my new purchase !!!

My tap tads is high nearly 200pp but when I was using one 25litre vessel I got 3500 average litre of pure water but like I say this time it is only about 2700 it is already 001pp which means it's just going to rise I am hoping that the top filter is to blame or I just cannot get enough resin in the vessel

If you are going through to much resin why dont you fill your van tank with tap water then put your resin vessel(s) after the pump in van much lower flow rate ensuring your resin lasts much longer . Mike

I spoke to a windy who used to RO his water into his tank so it was  down to 10 ppm then run a DI while he was working so it was down to 0 ppm from the tank to the pole.

Me I just run a ro\di to a ICB tank and pump it into the van as and when I need it.

Why bother with a 2nd DI why not just have a 25L vessel which takes nearly a bag of resin and will last ya a year + !!! 👍

Can only use a di vessel and with my tap reading it would not last a year and I carry 25litre tubs of water I do not have a tank in the van
