pressure price
« on: April 03, 2006, 11:16:45 am »
hi all , just about ready to go now in the pressure washing business, already had a prob with hose leaking at the end on the metal strip before the couplings , does anyone have any ideas how to tighten this, its brand new so really i should contact company i bought it  from, dut i thought i would ask you guys first, anyway hope you are all ok and looking forward to a prosperous summer... as i am working full time at the mo (but flexible hours).. i am starting mainly with drives and patios, but i have a problem pricing the jobs up, each time i ring asking local companies for a quote for my drive (block paving)... they insist on coming to look or giving a demo, which is fair enough and good business sense,..... but my drive is shiny as you would expect and i do not want to try pulling the wool over these guys eyes as they could be my future competition, and are trying to make a living... so i cant do that to anyone.....so i still cant find the prices per square metre in my area... there must be another way without messing our brothers about..

any advice would be great, thanks.

block paving between 2 to 3 pounds per square metre sanded, in yorkshire, or charge about 40 pounds per hour so you take into consideration site conditions etc.

Good luck

I charge 2.50 a square meter.  Obviously I have a minimum charge for the smaller jobs.
This is in the midlands area.
Veni, vidi, vino, splatus.

Prices worked at around £30 per hour plus £10 per day / job for fuel. Minimum price £100.  The larger the area the less the price per sq metere but only if the area is very large eg parking etc which is far easyer and quicker  to clean than mrs jones patios and rambling paths.

hi am sav your leek at the end of your hose could be in side the hose there is a black round washer that might be broke and need replacing you can get about ten 4 about £1 as for your pricing i have only been going 18mths and of to a flyer £40 is normal per hour but it will also depend on the state of the block paving or flags if you need to use any chemicals 4 oil stains good luck hope it all goes well
