we're going to try another cleaner who uses the squidgies, just to see how the finish compares more than anything



That makes it sounds as if they weren't totally satisfied, or else why would they want to compare quality?

Like I said though it's probably just cheaper and they are looking for an excuse.

Johnny that's one of the unfortunate things in this business, when a customer decides
to go elsewhere your never going to know the true reason.
I also believe that certain customers are more critical of wfp methods and while they would put up with smears
and streaks galore from trad cleaners they throw hissy fits at a few spots left by a wfp cleaners.

depends if you want the same quality.
Most of my customers know they can get a cheaper price. But they stay (for the last 11 years anyway)

For me it's never about the cancelling - it's about cancelling WITH NO NOTICE.  If I've set my work out for the day, it's not always possible to tag another job on the end.  Therefore, cancelling with no notice is a direct hit on income.  With even a little bit of notice, it's possible to re-jig the day's work list and possibly get another customer or two to replace the job.  They would be the first to moan if the boss sent them home a couple of hours early with no pay for that time.

So true. I have had to educate some of my customers that I make my living this way, pay taxes and don't claim benefits.
