slx 25 fully extended
« on: July 03, 2014, 08:19:55 pm »
well got my first monthly customer  ;D its a friend who lives in an old Methodist church. 5 ft tall rotten windows. It took my SLX25 fully extended to reach them. 10 of them upstairs alone. Its sure hard to control it at full extent. water actually leaked inside the church  ::)roll he said they are £1000 a window, so I have to clean lackey windows. The glass was easy. It was rinsing all the paint flakes down the glass, that took ages. Next time should be better

I would leave well alone especially if the water is leaking through the frames.
You could end up with a nasty bill if one falls out or worse a nasty injury.
Also I wouldn't think your insurance would cover them.
Need to learn that on some jobs your better walking away.

i clean a large church twice yearly and some of the old stain glass windows do leak a bit but no problems.just be careful and use a flocked brush.even though its only twice a year its a good earner! ;)
price higher/work harder!

I cleaned a tall church this week and it doesn't leak, use my softest brush on it as the 10 windows are 40ft high and they are 30ft in length at £60,000 each so I'm extremely careful doing that job.

Maybe not much longer if you cost him £60k.
Nothing splits friendships like money.
