rsd400 puddle sucker pump fault
« on: July 02, 2014, 08:22:44 pm »
hi

i've got a rsd400 puddle pump that has suddenly stopped working. i bought it second hand so i don't have a instruction manual, but used it a few times and it has been fine until today when it won't start, it makes a quiet humming sound but that's about it. anyone got and ideas or suggetions of what it could be or what to look for before i dismantle it?

Does she spin freely ? if not it will be a stone in the impeller / housing. If it spins it will be the capacitor - at a guess.
