Silly question but !!  can someone give me an indication how long you would expect the Ionic DI Linear Filter "color change Version" last ? replaced Filter 2 weeks ago and noticed it has already started to go off! last one lasted for over 3 months !  thinking of modifying to different DI set up?? can't justify spending £100 each time on replacements.

I understand life expectancy of DI depends on a whole lot of other scenarios but I would just like any feed back from anyone who uses this set up. Perhaps I have my set up all wrong, or missing something obvious. Otherwise as a recent newbie to WFP after 15 years Trad other then neck ache  I find WFP is great.

If i am correct in understanding the process! After the pre filters, (Softener caddy, carbon and micron) , then after the RO the inline duel monitor reading I am getting is. IN 12 ppm and  OUT 000ppm . The DI I believe is doing its job but from experience of the last filter the way it has already started to change color it will not continue to produce 000 pure for much longer? Maybe I am paranoid and expecting too much! I have a pressure booster pump which fills at. 70/85 psi taking just under. 3 hrs to fill 400ltrs

Any guidance greatly appreciated.

you have the pro 6? how old is your RO?

As you have a booster pump the reading should be lot lower than 12 ppm from the RO. Do you flush the membrane regularly?

The tds from my RO is around 004 so I do not even bother with resin.

I have a pro6 mate and my DI colour change resin lasted 12 weeks just like yours.
Get rid and put a DI vessel, very easy to do on the pro models unlike the v and zero systems.

My system is V4P -  Only 6 months old. Flush every time i fill up the system, which is only  3/4 times a week as I still do percentage of custies trad at moment, still trying to convert them gently over to WFP.

Hi Dean,

If you are still getting 000 pm into your holding tank then don't change the resin.

I had mine 3 years and the system was still producing 000 pm but was worried the colour had changed so spoke to ionic and they said if its still 000 pm then don't change the resin.

I flush RO every week with pure water 20 minutes and salt flush every time i have filtered the equivalent of a full fill (say after 2 half fills) and had no problems at all with the filters and zero pm.

I have had my Pro 6 for 6 1\2 years now and have only changed the filters once and the RO is the original one.

Am i doing some think wrong?  I Flush RO each time I fill by opening JG flush Valve fully open for about 5 mins, then I close the valve to its sweet spot where I believe i am getting best , Pressure/waste/product .

Only non standard bit of equipment i have on this system is the Booster Pump?  maybe i have this set up in the incorrect sequence!

Mains/Booster/Softener Caddy/Carbon Filter /Micron Filter / RO / DI/ Holding Tank.. 

System was great for Six Months no issues!
