Like i was told a few years ago Dave their customers not your friends.

I still have trouble with that, always friendly with customers probably say 10% of custies are really decent rest would step over you if you were laying in the front garden 

Custies pay the bills give em a little bit of talkie time to the ones that want it but I do have to say "must get on after a few minutes"

Most people happy as long as their talking about themselves

If guys son throws in the towel take custie back at a dearer price.

we ve all had the same mate.truth be told the customers can chop and change or cancel whenever they want.im sure some of my customers didnt think id still be cleaning their windows 21 years later!!

remember there is always another customer just around the corner.fair play for cleaning his windows for nothing when he lost his job.what a saint!!i wouldnt of done it.no way!

Strange to clean for nothing. IMO it lowers the worth of your service. It looks like "Yes, I clean your windows for 20 quid, but I could just as well do the job for free"

It's like buying a sofa for 1000 quid, then seeing it in a sale for 400 quid. I don't clean a single pane of glass for free. Wonder if I've lost customers because of that. Who knows, who cares? Like Daz says, "there is always another customer just around the corner"

i do clean a few of my neighbours free when i clean my own and my brothers new house(which i would charge £25 if he was a civilian!)but not regular customers!

I had one similar a few years back . Cleaned her windows for 10 years always made me a cuppa a very pleasant woman . Then tells me I'm sacked cos her nephew is starting up . 6 months later she asks me back cos he fell off his ladder broke both his ankles . What shame I said while ping myself inside . Took her back at an increase and she's been good as gold ever since
